PROMAD joins the global community in commemorating International Anti-Corruption Day with the 2025 theme: “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity”, in line with the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC).

This year’s observance underscores the critical role young people play in driving transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership across all levels of society.

As an organisation committed to strengthening democratic governance, PROMAD continues to empower young citizens to participate actively in governance processes, ensuring they have the skills, platforms, and opportunities needed to influence public decision-making. Through initiatives like The Social Accountability Fellowship, Open Government Partnership (OGP) Regional Workshops and FollowTheProjects campaign, PROMAD has equipped and is equipping youth with tools to demand integrity in public service and become champions of change in their communities.

PROMAD continues to advocate for open and participatory budgeting, accessible public data, and citizen-led monitoring of government projects, key strategies that foster transparency and uphold public trust. By promoting these principles, we are helping young people to understand how to shape and influence how public resources are allocated and used, enabling them to track projects, engage with public office holders, and hold institutions to global accountability standards.

As the world reflects on the growing demand for corruption-free societies,  ethical governance and accountable leadership, PROMAD calls on government actors, civil society, and development partners to collaborate in creating environments where young people can lead with integrity and contribute to a more accountable future.

PROMAD remains steadfast in amplifying young voices, advancing transparency, and shaping a Nigeria where integrity is the norm, not the exception.
