PROMAD Infotech Foundation is a leading civic tech nonprofit organisation dedicated to promoting civic participation, youth empowerment, digital futures, accountability in governance and sustainable development through innovative programmes. PROMAD Nigeria is seeking a creative and technically proficient Multimedia Associate to join our team in Abuja, Nigeria. This role will support our organisational strategy for 2026-2030 by enhancing our visibility and impact through high-quality multimedia content. The Multimedia Associate will play a key part in capturing and promoting our initiatives, including those under our innovation arm, StackLabs, and the civictech academy. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the successful candidate will handle photography, videography, content creation, and asset management to showcase our civic engagement, innovation and democracy projects, digital products, and events. This position is ideal for someone passionate about using multimedia to drive social change in a nonprofit environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Photography and Videography: Capture professional photographs and videos during events, field activities, and project implementations for PROMAD, StackLabs, and civictech academy initiatives.
  • Video Shooting and Editing: Plan, shoot, and edit compelling video content, including short-form videos for social media, documentaries on civic tech projects, and promotional materials highlighting digital innovations from StackLabs.
  • Event Media Capture: Attend and document organisational events, workshops, and community engagements, ensuring comprehensive coverage through photos, videos, and live streams.
  • Leading Digital Content Creation: Develop and lead the creation of engaging digital content, such as infographics, animations, and multimedia stories, tailored to our project portfolios to amplify our mission in civic education and innovation.
  • Showcasing Digital Products: Create visual demonstrations and promotional media for StackLabs’ digital products, including apps, tools, and platforms, to effectively communicate their features and impact to stakeholders and the public.
  • Maintaining Multimedia Assets: Organise, archive, and maintain a high-quality library of multimedia assets across all project portfolios, ensuring accessibility, compliance with branding guidelines, and regular updates to reflect ongoing work.
  • Collaborate within the communications and larger teams to align multimedia efforts with PROMAD’s overall strategy, including social media posting, website updates, and report illustrations.
  • Stay updated on multimedia trends and tools to enhance content quality and efficiency for effective storytelling.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Arts, Communications, Film Production, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Adobe Creative Suite or similar software are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in multimedia production, with hands-on experience in photography, video editing, and digital content creation. Prior work in a nonprofit, NGO, or civic organisation is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving event coverage or digital product promotion.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, and Final Cut Pro.
    • Strong knowledge of photography equipment (cameras, lighting, drones) and video production techniques.
    • Good and ethical application of AI in multimedia productions.
    • Excellent storytelling abilities through visuals, with an eye for detail and creativity.
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing for nonprofits.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Other Requirements: Must be based in Abuja, Nigeria, or willing to relocate. Ability to travel occasionally for field events. A portfolio of previous work (e.g., photos, videos, or digital content) is required to be submitted by candidates.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

To measure the Multimedia Associate’s performance and delivery, the following KPIs will be tracked quarterly:

  • Content Production Volume: Produce at least 20-30 high-quality multimedia assets (e.g., photo sets, edited videos, infographics) per quarter, aligned with project needs.
  • Quality and Engagement: Achieve viral content engagement on social media posts featuring created content (measured by likes, shares, and views on platforms like X, Instagram, and YouTube).
  • Timeliness: Meet 95% of deadlines for content delivery, including event coverage within 48 hours and edited materials within one week.
  • Asset Management: Maintain an organised digital archive with 100% of new assets tagged, backed up, and accessible, with zero reported losses or quality degradations.
  • Innovation and Feedback: Introduce at least one new multimedia technique or tool per quarter for the StackLabs, and achieve an average team/stakeholder satisfaction score of 4/5 based on feedback surveys.
  • Project Impact: Contribute to a 30% increase in audience reach for PROMAD and StackLabs’ digital programmes and products through targeted showcase content, tracked via analytics.

These KPIs will be reviewed during performance appraisals, with opportunities for professional development based on outcomes.

Remuneration Package 

  • The annual remuneration for this role is between 2,100,000.00 NGN and 2,520,000.00 NGN, depending on experience and qualifications. This includes benefits such as health insurance, paid leave (15 days annually), and pension contributions. Others, such as travel, professional development and end-of-the-year packages, are provided based on need and availability of financial resources. Salaries are subject to annual review based on performance and organisational funding.
