It has the following vacant positions.

  • Finance and Admin Officer (FAO)
  • Impact & Communication Officer (ICO)

Employment Type

Full-time, 6-month initial contract with potential for renewal.

Gwarinpa, Abuja, Nigeria

Finance & Admin Officer (FAO)

The successful candidate will assist the organisation in delivering organisational objectives through administrative support, budget preparations for proposals and fundraising, financial reporting and management, and internal control. 

Job Description

The Officer will assist in budgeting, administration, accounts and financial planning, and project and risk management for the organisation.

  • He/she will be responsible for budget development, requisition and disbursement, cash and outflow inflow tracking, internal control and documentation, and account preparation for income and expenditure. 
  • The Officer will be involved in responsibilities such as fundraising, grants, donations and partnerships. 
  • He/she will assist the organisation in administration, procurement and finance tracking.
  • He/she will perform account reconciliation, expense planning, financial reporting and filings with relevant government agencies and other responsibilities that may be assigned.
  • He/she will write letters and receive correspondences, organise meetings, and contribute to grant and proposal writing. 
  • He/she will offer professional financial advice to the organisation’s management from time to time.
  • He/she will write and present reports on the finances of the organisation. 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least a first degree/HND in accounting or related disciplines in economics, finance and financial management.
  • Must be ICAN OR ANAN chartered.
  • 3 years of practical experience in public/private, NGO and nonprofit financial management in development.
  • Must be versatile in managing regulatory compliance in financial reporting, tax filings, account and financial management.
  • Experience in research and data analysis, report writing, finance and project management, monitoring and evaluation are required.
  • Working knowledge of accounting tools and software like Excel, WaveApp, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, etc is required.
  • Must have excellent administrative knowledge and skills such as teamwork, organising, communication, time management and multitasking.
  • Must be familiar with the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Suite, etc. 
  • Must be a passionate and patriotic Nigerian (voter card required).
  • Must be available to travel when needed.
  • Must have NYSC discharged certificate
  • Must be able to resume immediately.

  • Excellent skills in critical thinking, business management and internal control, etc.

Impact & Communication Officer (ICO)

The successful candidate will produce digital content such as videos, podcasts, graphics, reports, infographics and visualized data and manage the organisation’s digital communication assets to tell PROMAD’s programs’ impact stories. 

Job Description

The Officer will assist the organisation in producing digital content such as videos, podcasts, graphics, reports, infographics and visualising data and manage the organisation’s digital communication assets to tell PROMAD’s programs’ impact stories. 

  • He/she will also manage communication engagement tools and monitor, and evaluate the organisation’s impact and engagement with audiences.
  • He/she will provide media relations with media outlets. 
  • He/she will assist in designing and executing digital marketing and IT communications-related projects to promote the organisation’s programs.
  • He/she will assist in research communication and data analysis, report designs, info-graphics and multimedia content.
  • He/she will use monitoring and evaluation tools with creative design skills to position PROMAD and its programs and projects in the media and across digital platforms and contribute to grant writing.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least a  degree/HND in mass communication, English, digital communications and marketing or other related disciplines.
  • 3 years of practical experience in public/private, NGO and development communication, public relations, and digital marketing.
  • A professional certificate in graphics, digital marketing and communication is required.
  • A working knowledge of media, IT, research, data analytics and report writing is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of content development, digital marketing and communication tools.
  • Familiarity with digital monitoring and evaluation tools.
  • Demonstrable creative design experience in graphics and social media management.
  • Must have excellent administrative knowledge and skills such as teamwork, organising, communication, time management and multitasking.
  • Must be familiar with the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Suite, etc.
  • Must be a passionate and patriotic Nigerian (voter card required).
  • A strong presence on social media platforms is an added advantage.
  • Must be available to travel when needed.

  • Excellent skills in proposal writing, digital fundraising campaigns and reporting writing. 
  • Excellent skills in critical thinking, business management and internal control, etc.

  • PROMAD is a gender-sensitive, PWD-friendly and equal-opportunity organisation.
  • Desirable candidates are those who are between 23-28 years old. 
  • The ability to speak Hausa is an important added advantage.
