The founder and executive director of PROMAD Infotech Foundation, Daisi Omokungbe, joined the inaugural Multi-Stakeholder Coordinating Group (MSCG) summit on Digital Governance in Abuja on Tuesday.
The meeting, themed “Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration for Inclusive Digital Governance in Nigeria,” was convened by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with Dataphye Foundation.
MSCG comprises of state and non-state actors working on digital governance commitments of the Nigerian Open Government Partnership (OGP) for the realisation of Nigeria’s Digital Transformation and Governance Agenda (NDTGA), which aligns with PROMAD 2026-2030 Strategy—catalysing participatory democracy, civic innovations and digital futures.
During the meeting, the Draft Digital Governance Toolkit and Scorecard were reviewed. Stakeholders agreed on the MSCG governance structures and mapped out an implementation roadmap for the country.
The meeting brought together government institutions, the private sector, civil society, OGP Nigeria, academia, development partners, and the technical community to strengthen collaborative approach for inclusive digital development and to drive responsible, transparent, and citizen-centred digital governance initiatives in Nigeria.
